Energy Assistance Service
The Energy Assistance Program is a multi-faceted program offering financial assistance to low-income families who qualify. The program is designed to help defray heating costs during the winter and cooling costs during the summer. The summer program also provides air conditioners for those who obtain a medical statement verifying necessity. Bulk fuel tanks are filled during the summer to prepare for the winter months. Participants in EAP programs must meet federal and state guidelines in order to qualify for assistance.
