<p>March 20 – INDIANAPOLIS &#8211; Community Action of Greater Indianapolis (CAGI) today announced changes in the location where its Energy Assistance intake services will be delivered.  Beginning Wednesday, March 21, all intake appointments currently or subsequently scheduled for CAGI’s Marion County offices concerning determination of EAP benefits will be conducted at the agency’s Indianapolis East location, 2626 E. 46th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46205.</p>
<p>Dawn Moore, the agency’s Client Services Director, explained:  “After careful review of the agency’s service delivery process for this program, we have decided to consolidate EAP intake services in one location at our East 46th Street location.  This move is designed to provide more effective and efficient services for our clients.”</p>
<p>All clients whose appointments were previously scheduled to occur at the agency’s Meridian Street offices should report to the 46th Street building at the same date and time, according to Moore.  Appointments scheduled to occur on or after March 21, 2012, will be handled there as well.</p>

<p>July 22- INDIANAPOLIS- Community Action of Greater Indianapolis (CAGI) announced the start of construction to build a 72-unit affordable housing community in Westfield, Indiana. Located just south of the intersection of Spring Mill Road and State Road 32, The Commons at Spring Mill will provide clients and residents with the opportunity to live independently, while still having access to supportive services. CAGI’s mission is to promote long-term self-sufficiency and prosperity within the community.</p>
<p>CAGI was awarded $8mm in federal tax credits, to be given over ten (10) years, from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA). IHCDA also provided a $846,465 construction and permanent loan. KeyBank provided a $5,850,000 construction and $1,225,000 permanent loan, while KeyBank Community Development Corporation provided the $7,440,000 equity investment. The Commons at Spring Mill will be developed in partnership with Indianapolis-based Herman &amp; Kittle Properties, Inc. Herman &amp; Kittle will serve as general contractor and property manager while CAGI will retain ownership. Groundwork is currently underway at the site.</p>
<p>“The Commons at Spring Mill is going to give our clients the opportunity to make their home in a safe, affordable apartment community,” stated Ed Tipton, Executive Director of CAGI. “Residents will benefit from the increased opportunities that come from being able to put down roots in a town like Westfield.”</p>
<p>The Commons at Spring Mill community will offer floor plans ranging from studio to two bedroom homes. Professional management and maintenance staff will be located on-site, and residents will have access to an exercise room, library, game room and community room. Finally, residents will be able to use the services provided by CAGI.</p>
