Community Action of Greater Indianapolis’ We CANN (Community Action Neighborhood Network) program is an evidence-based approach to decreasing crime and health disparities. Under umbrella of We CANN, we have four programs; Our “CHAMPIONS” program, our “B.U.I.L.D” program, our “C.H.A.T.” program and our “M.O.V.E.” program. Learn more by clicking on each program below.
WE CANN CHAMPIONS
Empowering youth and young adults who are high-risk for involvement in a violent crime and who are between the ages of 18 to 26 with the aim that they will become civic minded employed members of the community.
WE CANN BUILD
The We CANN BUILD (Build Up Informed Leaders for Development) is a set of workshops designed to improve the skills, knowledge and behaviors of those that work in a role that has direct contact with communities that have experienced trauma.
WE CANN C.H.A.T.
C.H.A.T. brings artists, facilitators and community together to connect CULTURE, HEART, ART AND TALK in a way that creates healing, addresses systems of oppression and stabilizes trauma.
